ANTON LAPOV

Artist, musician, independent curator and museologist. Coordinator of media-art collective Art Cluster R+N+D and organizer of events in the field of experimental electronic music, media-art and museological research. In his artistic practice, Lapov is trying to combine research-based methodologies of humanities with computational aesthetics ideas. In addition, he is an active participant of educational initiatives. Author of research dedicated to investigation and archiving of contemporary sociocultural history. During 2011-2015, he worked in different historical Ukrainian museums as a scientific assistant. Since 2015, together with Larion Lozovyi, curates and develops museological projects in the scope of multidisciplinary group “Critical Archiving Laboratory”. Researcher in the Open Archive of Ukrainian Media-Art focusing on history of Ukrainian sound-art and East-Ukrainian media-art.
